It has been a great couple of days just getting back into being at home and the great high from CHA.
The Supershow was a bit overwhelming for me. But let's keep it in perspective Toys R Us overwhelms me.
I like the atmosphere of the Trade Show side. It works for me.
I did have fun with reading my blog. Craft Critique did a great article about the Crafty Storytellers.
I had a great time trying out for the next Crafting Diva on the local station here in Atlanta. It was just fun!
Can I tell you what has really made it for me. Can I tell you my epiphany.
No, not that I met Carol Duvall.... Did I tell you that I met Carol Duvall.
Oh, but I started to digress...
It was going to the mailbox Tuesday morning after repacking a simple box of stuff for one of my Tweeps.
By the time I had gotten hugs from complete strangers and some high fives from various folks, I realized that...
are you ready here come the epiphany...
I CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!! That's right you heard it here first.
My small bit of indignation turned into a mini revolution.
What was originally a small box of discarded scrapbooking supplies turned into a 50 pound box of smiles.
I am glad to have been a part of it.
until we meet again,

Hi!
I just wanted to let you know that I read your post on what Advantus did at the Duluth Expo. It upset me so much because for almost 3 years I have practically begged them for donations for my nonprofit, and they ALWAYS turn me down. I wrote them about their tossing out perfectly good merchandise and lo' and behold I received a fairly decent donation from them. Thanks for posting that, and I'm sure we'd be shocked at what companies waste instead of donating.
Can't believe you got to meet Carol Duvall!
Thanks again!

Good evening. I was doing my email, going from one to the other and clicking on the "highlights", so I can't really say how I found your site. All I know is after reading your CHA blogs and going to the ones people suggested you read, I HAD to sign up to follow you. I was laughing so hard my husband came in to see what was up... after reading about Ziggy's discovery he was laughing harder than me! It made me remember when my daughter walked in on my husband when he was taking a shower and she was 3 (quite a while ago). He's yelling for me to get her and she's giggling her head off saying "Guess what I saw". My husband was horrified but I asked her anyways "what did you see"... giggle, giggle, (hand over mouth) I saw Daddy's hairy chest!" Glad I found you. God bless.

Oh Linda, that is so funny! Kids crack me up! I spend most of my day trying not to laugh outloud!
Jan, I'm so glad that you said something. It just amazes me how what I did has put people on both sides of what I see as a one sided issue!
We are making a difference in peoples lives. A smile can give a person some hope.

Testify sister! I'm with you! I too e-mailed Advantus directly, sadly with no response. Maybe they will take notice of the indignation you are spreading!
