I first want to tell all the ladies that took class with me this weekend.
I HAD A BLAST!!! Y'all made it fun. I have never laughed as much as I did this weekend.
Can I tell you how much God watches out for me. After my last class on Friday, two ladies asked me out to dinner. Well, not knowing what the others from the booth were doing, I declined. But instead of me not eating, they went out and got me a FABULOUS salad from Applebee's.
By the time they got back, I realized that I needed to get some extra work done for the rest of the weekend.
Well, they took me to their home, I ate with a real fork and then they dropped me back at the hotel and stayed for an extra two hours to help me get the kits completed.
Mind you this time also included a ride back to the Fairgrounds to pick up supplies that I had left under the table at the booth.
I am forever blessed by their generosity and love. When they left and even now, my heart is just so full. I cannot explain to you how grateful I am and will be always to these woman for coming into my life when I needed them.
I even had my first man in one of my classes. He was a scrapbook virgin. Apparently he told his wife that they did not spend enough time together and he wanted to go with her to classes.
Well, if my husband ever said that he wanted to come scrapbooking with me, get ready because the second coming is just around the corner.
I have to get better with taking pictures while I am in class. I have the camera with me and I keep forgetting so I am now going to put that on my list of things to have my helper do while I am teaching.
OK so for the funny stories... First let me say this... I love you all like cooked food, but it is still funny no matter what and I just have to tell everyone.
By the middle of the first day, I had a set of groupies that just cracked me up. If they had taken a class with me earlier in the day, I made them sit in the back left corner.
They were affectionately known as the "Hecklers". You had to earn a spot back in that corner. And some of them even had their friends sign up... so their friends immediately became heckler by default.
If you have ever taught, you know that when you are showing stuff to the class, you have to remember that if it looks correct to you, it looks backwards to them. Well...
I would say put it on the left... and my hecklers would say... "Your left or my left?"
So finally instead of me continuing to confuse everyone, I turned my back to them and would just hold up what we were doing. SO I would make one fold and hold it up. Then I would make another fold and hold it up...
We were able to construct an explosion box in record time. I took 50 women from beginning to end including the cover in 34 minutes...
FIFTY WOMEN IN 34 MINUTES.
WOOOO HOOOOO!!!
That was a record time. I was averaging about 47 minutes. We cheered and jumped up and down like nobody's business.
I still had a voice when the weekend was over. I actually have to admit that all went very well.
OH, I cannot forget the ladies who were my teacher's pets. Can you say angels dropped out of the sky just for me.
They were so on the ball. They only needed to hear it once and then they had it all under control. I mean under control. And to think that all they got was a class kit for all of their help. I mean they kitted stuff up for me. They organized my messy boxes and still were able to help the ladies around the room.
Now if all the others that I go to are as good as this past weekend, I will be one lucky woman.
Well, I have a bunch of emails to get off and a bunch of busy work.
I will also be able to blog later about some really cool things that are going on with me in about 2 days, just have to make confirmations so stay tuned.
until we meet again,

so....did you venture out in Pleasanton at all, or just to the helpful women's house for dinner? Hope you had a good time there! Sounds like you did.

Nope, did not get to venture anywhere.
But, trust me, I rented a car for Columbus Ohio with a "Betty".
So I am going to program every craft store that I can find in the phone book.
love ya like cooked food,
